Online Meetings & Presentations

I have a number of business clients who are a fair distance from my office. Some are interstate. I have been looking for options to provide better real time consulting to them. I am also looking to add seminars & presentations to help clients with issues. Today I trialled a webex based service, which will give me the ability to deal with clients over the internet. The software allows me let my clients see my computer screen, interact online. They will be able to see whatever is on my screen & annotate documents. The presentation can be 1 on 1 or a group presentation. I will continue the trial & look forward to using the product once I have a few more pieces of equipment.

Once I have a webcam I am also looking to put presentations & seminars on my YouTube Account. Look here for more details in the new year.

Changes @ HZS

I recently attended a seminar with a coaching service for accountants held by Nixon Advantage. It was very informative & we have decided to implement a number of the procedures they have recommended.  We are looking to add new services & make changes to improve productivity.

Over the years I have drifted away from my vision. The seminar has helped refocus my direction. We are currently investigating financial planning services. Other services will be added as we grow.

To improve productivity we are looking at technologies available & staffing to give our clients better & more timely services.  The old model of accounting results in a reactive relationship between the accountant & the client. We believe the changes we are making will make this accounting business proactive for the benefit of our business & our clients.

This will be an exciting time for us changing from an 'accounting practice' to an "accounting business". Consumer input on this change is welcome so that we can give them the best product & service possible. Regular updates about the exciting changes we are making will be posted here. Email Problems

During the last week of July we moved our email to a different provider. Unfortunately there were some issues which stopped us receiving emails. This matter has now been fixed.

My Recent Illness

Over the last 8 weeks I have suffered from what I thought was a bad cold. This turned out to be Chronic Asthma & a serious chest infection. This illness seriously affected my ability to work. I am now well on the way to recovery & pumping out as much work as I can. I would like to thank my clients who have been so patient & I would also like to thank my wife Janine, who took on an even greater burden looking after our children, me & coming into the office to keep things moving. I would be much further behind on my work without her great effort.

HZS Business Services has moved

An opportunity arose which allowed me to relocate my business to an address quite close to my home. We are now located at 2/129 Beach Street, Frankston, Vic. 3199. Our new contacts are: Ph: 03 9770 5951 Fax: 03 9770 5936. The move has made it possible for my wife Janine to take over the administration of the business & freed up my time to focus on providing better services to my clients. Being closer to home also makes me more flexible in getting to a life balance.

I feel more productive & happier in my work. I would like to thank all my clients who have stuck with me since the move.

Also as apart of the move I decided to rebrand my business. New logo, color scheme & a new website. 

The new host for the website will allow greater flexibilty & will allow us to develop better resources & tools. One of the features we will be introducing is Drop Box. Drop Box allows the transfer of larger files than those possible via email. Keep you eye on the website for news & new features.
